This past weekend, the boys had their first "friend" sleep over. I decided that I could be brave and allow another child spend the night with my spirited two. I arranged to pick up Josiah before I got the boys from school (as a surprise) and they were thrilled to see their buddy at school. We came home and they played Star Wars with all of their dress up items and light sabers. Then they rode bikes and ran around outside. I was hoping they would get rid of some of their energy, but evidently, fresh air can have the opposite effect on three boys! We ate pizza for supper and then watched the first Star Wars. The boys were beyond excited about watching Episode 1. I finally put them to bed at 9. Garrett quickly fell asleep (my plan was working, I thought). But at 11 when I went to check on the supposedly sleeping lads, Hunter and Josiah were still talking. They were just so excited. They were not quite as excited when Garrett decided they should all be up at 6:30! Saturday morning I made the boys pancakes and made them go outside again to play. It was supposed to rain, so I wanted to cease the opportunity to be outside. Much bike riding and running was done, and by noon, my boys were really tired. But would they concede and take a nap??? Not a chance! Lack of sleep aside, they had a wonderful time without a doubt!
