Tuesday Garrett's preschool class went to a dairy farm for a field trip. The kids had a wonderful time. We got to go on a hay ride, pet a two week old calf, see the huge hogs, and see where the 80 cows are milked. After the tour of the farm, the kids had a snack picnic and then they had a pumpkin hunt. Garrett was so proud of his cute little pumpkin that he found in the hay.
The only downside to the field trip was the heat...it was 92 degrees Tuesday, which only made the smells of the farm all the more stinky!
Hunter informed me that he had already been on the farm trip last year, so he did not need (or want) to go again. Thankfully, I had a friend who could watch him for the morning. The next trip is to the fire house...I think Hunter will go on that trip. Last year, the firemen came to the school...this year the kids get to go to the fire station.
